Graduate students in the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio
University earn accolades for research on a regular basis. Some recent
accomplishments include:
- Garima Bajaj, who recently completed the master's program in the J.
Warren McClure School of Information and Telecommunication Systems, won
Best Paper at the International Telecommunications Education and
Research Association Conference held March 23 & 24 in Louisville,
Ky.
- Rukhsana Ahmed, a doctoral candidate in the School of Communication
Studies, won the Owen Peterson Award for the top student paper in
Rhetoric and Public Address by the Southern States Communication
Association.
- Tang Tang, a doctoral candidate in the School of Media Arts and
Studies, and Assistant Professor Greg Newton were awarded a research
grant from the National Association of Broadcasters. Only 5% of
applicants receive funding from the NAB each year.
