Thelma Kinnison joined the Dean’s Office staff in February 2003. She is responsible for administering all aspects of the DARS system for the five schools in the Scripps College of Communication; programming all changes in individual students’ reports; determining transfer course equivalencies and inputting all transferred courses; administering the graduation clearance process for undergraduates and granting of degrees; filing graduation clearance/denial reports in the Registrar’s Office; managing the probation process by reviewing reports and notifying students of their probationary status; processing all student services forms; and serving as the Dean’s Office contact for faculty advisors, administrators, staff, students, parents and outside parties for questions regarding student records and university policy and procedures.
Her experience at Ohio University includes administrative coordinator to the deans’ in the Scripps College of Communication and the Honors Tutorial College; administrative assistant to the assistant dean in the College of Health and Human Services; and administrative assistant for Student Services in University College. She previously was employed for nine years as an associate to the director for attendance and discipline at the Gallia-Jackson-Vinton JVSD in Rio Grande, Ohio.
Thelma earned an associate's degree in Individualized Studies in 2002 and a bachelor's degree in Specialized Studies with emphases in Architecture, Art History and Fashion Design in 2005.
